The Windows Powertoys Text Extractor is a nice tool that works similar to the sniping tool or Greenshot or KDE-Spectacle.
You can select a rectangular part of the screen and it runs a OCR on the content and copies the text into your clipboard.
I think a feature like that for Spectacle would be a really productive enhancement.
It would be great if you could assign a different Hot-Key than the Screenshot Hot-Key for it.

Currently you could take a screenshot with Spectacle.
Run an OCR software on the saved screenshot e.g. Tesseract and then copy the results.
