SUMMARY
Please add an option to the advanced search so subfolders can be automatically included. The default behavior of requiring the explicit selection of children is not flexible enough for saved searches because it doesn't account for new/renamed folders. For example, I have an 'Incoming' folder to hold all new files for processing and use advanced searches to help focus my tasks. When I'm done processing, those subfolders get moved to another location. Because the subfolders are always changing, I have to keep updating the search criteria to include all children.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create new advanced search
2. Right-click parent album/folder, choose Select->Children
3. View search results and save as a stored search.
3. Add new folders to parent album or subfolders within
4. Rename some of the folders under the parent album
5. Run search again

OBSERVED RESULT
Added/updated subfolders do not appear when running the saved search - must edit search every time the folders change to include Children.

EXPECTED RESULT
Desired result would be to include a checkbox (or another UI approach) in Album section to include all subfolders, at which point the search would automatically include any new/changed folders under the album every time the search runs.

This functionality used to work in Digikam 8.4. Now in Digikam 8.5 it has disappeared. Please put it back, it saves a lot of clicking when you have a lot of sub-directories as I have.

The missing context menu is a regression of Qt-6.8.0 and is fixed with a workaround in Bug 496340.
