I think we used to do this, but a mockup-driven redesign removed it. We could always add it back, but then someone else might say, "remove it and make it a sidebar list item." I think we need a conceptual justification for one rather than the other. Created attachment 170396 [details]

It would be more consistent with the System Settings if the home button were next to the Search bar.

My mistake; I had mis-recalled what this bugzilla ticket was asking for, because our conclusion was in fact the opposite: that Home buttons in the toolbar aren't appropriate and we should have all the navigation destinations in the sidebar. |
