SUMMARY
before updating KDE, the application launcher would disappear (as always) if the mouse clicks somewhere else outside the launcher, but in KDE 5.27.3, I should click Kickoff button again, or press the meta key again, to make it disappear.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. press the meta key, or click Kickoff button, to show the Kickoff application launcher
2. click somewhere else outside the launcher (e.g. put the focus on another window), and normally the launcher would disappear
3. but in KDE 5.27.3, step 2 won't make it fade.

OBSERVED RESULT
when the focus goes outside the launcher, the launcher window still stays

EXPECTED RESULT
when the focus goes outside the launcher, the launcher window closes
