STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start with default latte-dock config (~/.config and ~/.cache emptied).
2. Run Kate.
3. Its icon appears in Latte.
4. Click on the Clock/Calendar widget and then click it again to make the calendar popup window disappear.
5. Move the mouse cursor a little.

OBSERVED RESULT

The Kate icon disappears and shortly reappears as if it was just started.

EXPECTED RESULT

The Kate icon doesn't disappear at all.

This seems related to the issue I'm having where unpinned, running apps disappear and then reappear sometimes when the dock is shown after auto-hide.
