I've noticed that it happens after I open a text file from Dolphin. After that, only the opened text file remains in the recent files history. Can not reproduce that with 22.12.3 in either Kate nor KWrite, tried the trick to open a file via Dolphin, still works as intended here. (In reply to Christoph Cullmann from comment #2) > Can not reproduce that with 22.12.3 in either Kate nor KWrite, tried the > trick to open a file via Dolphin, still works as intended here. I tried to remove all lists of recent files from ~/.config/kwriterc. There were two separate lists of recent files and one list of recent URLs. Now my list of recent files is growing normally. Let's see if the problem has been fixed. The new list is absent from kwriterc, by the way, i.e., it's stored somewhere else. Cleaning of ~/.config/kwriterc didn't help. I've just opened a .txt file from Dolphin and my file history has been emptied. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
