think i have found a work-around to add additional attachments.
If you rename your root album folder (probably external), how should digiKam find your albums? Go to the digiKam settings under Collection and update the path to your collection. It's the round circle icon next to your existing collection. Maik To explain again, without a valid root folder specified in the collection settings, logically no new albums can be created either. Created attachment 157134 [details] Cannot select any folder or album as per attached, DK will now not open any folders or files for existing or new Album as bg, i renamed the root album folder, which it happily finds in DB Migrate and Showfoto (and now we have prob again of only ONE attachment!)
