I have custom theme (Materia) & cursor icon (Material Cursors) selected in plasma settings. However, when I am hovering over certain desktop parts (e.g. the Plasma panel/Desktop), the cursor gets reseted to the default breeze one. When hovering over e.g. Firefox, it seems fine.

This issue persists only in Wayland - in X11 everything seems fine.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set custom cursor icon
2. Hover over any plasma app, Desktop etc.
3. Observe

OBSERVED RESULT
Default breeze cursor icon is shown

EXPECTED RESULT
Material cursor icon will be shown.

Can confirm this is still an issue. Updating version accordingly.

Is this an issue in 6.0? There were fixes in 6.0 to fix the resolution of alternative shape names.

Reset the bug report status to REPORTED if 6.0 is affected.
