STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  on latest linux mint installed package 1.9.5-1
2. compare 2 directories ( i.e with 500 files) File -> Open-> Dir , Dir2 
3. compare another directories File -> Open - Dir3, Dir4 

OBSERVED RESULT
crash with coredump
