I have changed to the 8.00 beta and can no more find the option for writing metadata changes immediatly to the file.

I'm not sure which option you mean? There is only one option that has been removed in the metadata settings, which is to clean up the metadata in the database. This function was implemented using a different strategy.

Any feedback here? If metadata is not written immediately, lazy synchronization may be enabled in the metadata settings.

Sorry, my fault. I have not seen the rigtht options. Metadata writing is working well,
