Currently, all symbols are displayed quite small, in comparison to other dialogs. People with bad sight have difficulties distinguishing symbols since some of them only differ in tiny details. It would be very helpful to be able to increase the font size according to the user's needs (+/- buttons or a size dropdown selector).

Which application? The kcharselect application has a font size spinbox, see image at https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/kcharselect/kcharselect/index.html
