Description Kiumars Javan 2023-01-29 17:21:15 UTC
Hi,
today i just got bored with the audio feedback for audio volume change so i disabled it. after a while i noticed that there is a delay when i change the system audio volume by the laptop's key Fn + f11, Fn + f12 (my laptop is asus x450), and with the mouse scroll hovering on the volume tray.i tried to enable the audio feedback and then the delay disappeared.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. click on the audio icon in the taskbar
2. click configure
3. remove the thick of "play audio feedback for changes to: "
4. save
5. change the system audio volume with the shortcut keys or scroll while hovering on the volume icon

OBSERVED RESULT
delay for applying the audio volume

EXPECTED RESULT
no delay

Cannot reproduce on current git master. Ultimately this will end up being a PulseAudio or PipeWire bug, not something in KDE code. If you really care a lot, you can report it upstream. :)
