I forgot to mention that after the crash the panel reappears immediately and I can continue working. If something crashed, we need a backtrace of it so we can figure out what's going on. But I'm not very familiar with debuginfo in openSUSE distros so you might be better off asking a distro person for help. plasma5-workspace-debuginfo ?
