SUMMARY
x11 only bug
In wayland when you press meta+L screen instantly turns black untill the screen locker ui gets loaded. In x11 screen stays still and gives no visual feedback about the fact that meta+L was pressed untill the screen locker ui gets loaded. On my weak old laptop especially in powersave mode loading screen locker ui can take 3-5 seconds so i would like x11 session to make screen black untill screen locker ui is loaded (idk if its a bug or just whishlist)


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
0. have an old weak core i3'ish laptop or just turn on powersaving mode
1. enter plasma x11 session
2. press meta + L to lock the screen

OBSERVED RESULT
have to wait 3 seconds guessing if the key was even pressed, no visual feedback, though screen locker then finally appears 

EXPECTED RESULT
screen turns black for 3 secons so i know its loading, then screen locker ui appears

Can you please re-test on your system with Plasma 6.3.2 and let us know if you can still reproduce the problem? Thanks!

just booted garuda (arch based, 2025-03-05 vanilla plasma edition, 6.3.2-1) and it seems to not be fixed. Wayland immediately turns screen black but x11 waits till lockscreen ui is loaded, thus making noticable delay (when cpu locked to 400mhz) and not letting me hide my questionable stuff immediately when someone enters my room (security risc issue)

i know x11 is very low priority right now but idk maybe it will ever be fixed i hope
