Description Andrew A. Adams 2023-01-25 03:10:33 UTC
SUMMARY
***
In order to integrate okular into varied workflows, such as online presentation, in-person presentation, display of documents processed from LaTeX, it would be very useful to have more control of a specific okular instance via command-line flags rather than having to open the window and then use the graphical interface to set display options.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open okular from the command line
2. new window inherits settings such as "menu visible" and "view mode" from the settings and then the most recently altered open instance
3. No option to give options for the new window on the command line

OBSERVED RESULT
New instances inherit current settings from most recently interacted with instance

EXPECTED RESULT
Desire to be able to open with menu visible or not visible and in fit-to-page view mode or fit-width view mode (or others) via a command line option.
