Description Paul van Haren 2023-01-23 07:14:53 UTC
Created attachment 155523 [details]
Left: network traffic > 80 Mbps; right no sign of network traffic in monitors

SUMMARY
The network statistics, as shown in the widget Overview -> "Network Rates", in Overview -> Applications (Download and Upload columns) and History -> Network are missing a lot of traffic in case I'm running on an XRDP session.
The exact same session running from the console shows the correct network statistics.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Login using XRDP
2. Open System Monitor, in the Overview tab, sort Applications tab by Download (DESC)
3. Generate some network traffic
4. Observe network traffic in System Monitor

OBSERVED RESULT
Most but not all applications show no network traffic.

EXPECTED RESULT
Similar results as when logged in via session from Console.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 22.04 LTS

Thank you for the bug report!

Please note that Plasma 5.25.4 is not supported for much longer by KDE; supported versions are 5.24, and 5.26 or newer.

If at all possible please upgrade to a supported version and verify that the bug is still happening there.

If you're unsure how to do this, contact your distributor about it.

Thank you for your reply. This is my bad: I have the wrong version number in. It should have been 5.24.4, now corrected.
