Kwin draws thin window border, overriding systemsettings breeze options. Is this a regression, or intended change?
Either way, there's a dedicated setting in breeze for it, and it should be respected. Suspending kwin removes the border.

Intended from a kwin POV. The breeze style changed and is drawing a frame as part of the shadow

Yep, technically that's not what's considered a window border; it's an outline and it's drawn by Breeze. This is the intended new look for Plasma 5.27.

How do I disable it then? I don't want to switch compositors because of the "outline". Breeze is not the only style which is affected.
Comment 4 Nate Graham 2023-01-24 14:54:00 UTC
At the moment, you can't. We didn't add a config option to disable it while using the Breeze window decoration theme. If you really hate it, you can use a different window decoration theme.

What makes this "outline" not a border, since it looks like a line, and it surrounds the window?
Guess "no border" option in deco settings needs to say "itty-bitty border" from now on.
Comment 6 Nate Graham 2023-01-24 16:03:31 UTC
Yes, we're considering changing things so that this setting is inntegrated into the existing border size setting, so that there is indeed a "hairline" or "outline" option in that combobox. No firm decision yet, but it's a possibility.

Is there somewhere in the theme definition I can change the colour of that line to match the window background?
