The problem: I do a lot of video editing, and have a lot of "stock" footage, as well as new files coming and going all the time. These are stored across several hard drives - let's call them HD1, HD2, HD3 and HD4 for simplicity. I have created a collection and scanned the drives, creating volumes within the collection of HD1, HD2, etc. So far, so good. It is easy to search for what I want.

BUT: The files within those volumes change, as new items are added and old ones deleted. For the life of me, I have been unable to find out how to re-scan the media (HD1, etc) to bring the contents up to date.

In cd-cat (and Gwhere before it) this was very simple, but as far as I can see, there is no facility to do this within Tellico.

With the current "Import File Listing" capability, and collection merging, the ability to update the file listing (albeit without removing existing collection entries which may refer to items deleted from the folder) work swell
