Dear KDE team!
If possible, please add an option that would make it possible to adjust the size of the clip to the size of the project. There is such a function in Video Pad, called "proportion". Even the video clip can be resized there. Please add this feature. And in Kdenlive, on the contrary, the size of the project changes to the size of the clip.

Hi!

When importing your clip, you can ignore Kdenlives suggestion to adjust the project to the clip size. Then you can use a transform effect. See https://docs.kdenlive.org/en/effects_and_compositions/video_effects/transform_distort_perspective/transform.html#transform Soon this will become even easier with "build in" effects.
