On first booting Linux Kwintv won't start - it seems to try to go but just flashes a few things up and drops out - unless the TV card configuration option in Yast2 is run. It's then OK until Linux is restarted then the configuration has to be done again.

Similar to bug #44443 where use of xawtv is presumably another way of overcoming the problem.

Sorry folks, we're only fixing bugs in the rewrite, which is unfortunately coming along 
very slowly.  The old code is very buggy and dangerous to change without breaking 
many many things.
