Description yizel7 2023-01-10 17:22:05 UTC
SUMMARY
I am not sure if this is a kwin, plasma or something else issue so i will leave it to you experts.

After a long sleep (couple hours or more) when i wake up my optimus laptop with integrated GPU off my entire screen is washed out and blurry except when i move my mouse to an area and click. Then it is good for a couple seconds and you can see something like refreshes happening in that area until it gets just as blurry as the rest of the screen.

Logging out or restarting will fix this issue however that is not ideal when i have a lot of stuff open.

I have attached screenshots of the outcome.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Power on and log in to your computer
2. Let your computer go to sleep or put it into sleep
3. Wait a couple hours
4. Press a key to wake up your computer and log back in

OBSERVED RESULT
My entire screen both laptop and external is blurry or washed out.

EXPECTED RESULT
The screen would look crisp and normal when i log back in after a long sleep.

Could be a GPU driver issue too.

Are you using the X11 or the Wayland session?
