I have installed Digikam 7.8 using Flatpack on Zorin 16 XFCE. When I try to add a collection it only shows the Pictures directory in my home directory. My photos are on pCloud and I have put a symlink myPcloudPhotos in the Pictures directory but it does not find any photos there. The file manager, Thunar, does find them.

Please try the AppImage bundle instead the FlatPak version. This last one has serious file system restrictions.
