STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open an .md file
2. Write three underlines ("_")
3.  They disappear.

OBSERVED RESULT
The disappearance of the text editor underscores, as if their color is equal to the background color, regardless of the theme or color scheme.

EXPECTED RESULT
An evident text highlight, according to the markdown syntax pattern, where three underscores mean a dividing line

Is this still reproducible?

I can't reproduce it with latest kate
