SUMMARY
When I move or delete an image or video in an Album, the thumbnail for that item remains in the original Album. If I click on the thumbnail the photo does not display (because it is in fact no longer there). Likewise if I right click and select "Open in File Manager", the Finder opens, but only on the folder, and the item is not there.

The problem cannot be reproduced on either Linux or Windows. Since the first part of the task has been performed and the file has been moved/deleted, the problem must be with the database update. Create a log from the terminal when you delete or move a file, as described here for macOS:
