SUMMARY
The UI does not allow a user to specify which folder downloaded/transferred files (e.g. from the phone) should be placed in.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Send a file from the phone to the computer.

OBSERVED RESULT
The file is saved in the home directory, with no option to change this.

EXPECTED RESULT
The UI allows the user to specify the folder where the files should be sent to.

Linux: KDE neon (Ubuntu 22.04 base)

it is possible to do that

Systemsettings > KDE Connect > Select a device > Share and Receive > click the Configure button

Thanks, I hadn't noticed this (it *is* well buried...). This is device-specific, though, not a general setting. You cannot change the default for all devices. I will reword the title as well.
