STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open a text file with Kate
2. rename or delete the text file
3. open Kickoff, click on 'Places', hover over 'History' and click on the previously used text file under 'Files'

OBSERVED RESULT
nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT
some kind of feedback

On Plasma 6 alpha an error message says "The file or folder X does not exist." :)
