Description James Howard 2022-11-16 22:43:57 UTC
SUMMARY
***
In most media players, using the "Previous Track" button in the player ( ⏮ ) within the 1st few seconds of a track will move to the beginning of that track currently playing. In Elisa, if you attempt this one the 1st track of an album, nothing happens: playing just continues from any current position. (This appeared when playing the 1st album after app startup.)
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start app by desktop GUI menu poke
2. Select an album, hit play
3. Begins playing, say about 15sec into track
4. Poke "Previous" 'button' ( ⏮ )

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens. Song continues playing as if nothing has happened

EXPECTED RESULT
Move playing location back to 0m0s (start) of this 1st track on album

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Fedora 37 x86_64 with LXQt desktop & GUI
KDE Frameworks Version: 37.0
Qt Version: 5.15.6

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 James Howard 2022-11-16 22:52:24 UTC
Sorry: error in reporting KDE version. It should be 5.99.0
Comment 2 Nate Graham 2022-11-29 19:20:00 UTC
Works for me. I suspect the issue may be caused by VLC using the QtMultimedia backend instead of the VLC backend. Do you have the RPMFusion repo installed on your system, with the vlc and/or vlc-core package installed?
