SUMMARY

it seems that importing images does not work on images but on folders?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Import --> Add Images  (in album vieuws)
2. Try to select an image ???? 
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing ! While the folder contains a lot off images 
I tried everywhere and it's the same
EXPECTED RESULT
To see the Images and to be able to select images

The behavior is the same as Import --> Add folder

Works here with no problems. The import dialog is designed for importing memory cards / USB / cameras. If the source directory contains many images and sub-albums, the import dialog will take a while to fully capture the content. As long as no selection of images is possible, just wait a bit until the animation in the toolbar has stopped.
Otherwise you can copy/paste images from Explorer.
