SUMMARY

In Wayland, all Chromium/Electron based apps (e.g. Chrome, Vivaldi, vscode) have no window-closing animation, either when closing the main app window, or dismissing a menu popup. The window-appearing animation works fine in both cases.

Seems other apps (qt, gtk, java) don't have this problem.

This is/was an ozone issue, see https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1324548. We can't fix it on the compositor side.
