Thank you for the bug report! Please note that Plasma 5.25.5 is not supported for much longer by KDE; supported versions are 5.24, and 5.26 or newer. If at all possible please upgrade to a supported version and verify that the bug is still happening there. If you're unsure how to do this, contact your distributor about it. Something about the new geometry make Qt very unhappy. Unfortunately it's impossible to tell what because these lines in the backtrace are missing debug symbols: > #39 0x00007f8903fdcc25 in ?? () from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/kcms/kcm_kscreen.so > #40 0x00007f892ef0e636 in ?? () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libKF5KCMUtils.so.5 > #41 0x00007f892ef16535 in KCModuleProxy::load() () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libKF5KCMUtils.so.5 Could you please use your package manager to install debug symbols for kscreen and frameworks-kcmutils, reproduce the crash, and attach a new symbolicated backtrace? See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Thanks again! Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Sorry, I ended up with a different installation (KDE Neon with additional ubuntu-studio package) which just works fine so I won't be able to reproduce the issue. I'll keep in mind the suggestion for a useful bug report next time. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
