STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the app
2. Try to hide alt menu
3. You can't

OBSERVED RESULT
There is no way to hide menu bar in windowed mode. The bar I am talking about is the one that says ("File Edit Format View Settings Help")

I'm on pop OS using GNOME DE. But i think it's unrelated to the issue.

This behavior is intentional, as "peek-a-boo"  interfaces tend to confuse the user.  The only reason I support the feature in full screen mode is because it has become a "standard" feature among distraction free editors.
