Description Jack Hill 2022-11-05 15:41:00 UTC
SUMMARY
Often I'll want to zip up a folder on Windows and then send it to my Linux laptop. Currently I have to
1) navigate to the folder in Windows Explorer and zip it
2) right click the tray icon, click "Send a file/URL" and then navigate to the file again.

It would be helpful if KDE Connect appeared in the Windows 11 share menu. This would allow me to share a file directly from windows explorer.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Right click a file in Windows Explorer
2. Click the share icon (4th icon in at the top of the context menu)
3. Look at the list of apps under the heading "Share with"

OBSERVED RESULT
For me it says "You don't have any apps you can share to"

EXPECTED RESULT
KDE Connect should appear

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 11 Home version 22H2

use the Open With option in context menu of the file, and select KDE Connect from there. That should directly open the share menu of KDE Connect.
