If you want that, you can simply use the "Minimize all" widget/action which plays the minimize animation when activated. That will use the Magic Lamp effect when you activate it. I tried it on my computer and it doesn't use the magic lamp effect, it does the same as meta+D. All of the windows are just going in the corners to show me my desktop. Then it would appear you haven't successfully used the "Minimize All" widget or global shortcut. Thanks a lot, I finally understand how to set this up. I really think that this should be in the effect panel with other "show desktop" effects. It's quite strange to add a widget only to add a shortcut to show desktop. I didn't even find a way to keep this shortcut and removing the widget. There is no shortcut for "minimize all windows" in the global settings. It's in System Settings > Shortcuts > Kwin > "MinimizeAll". Its default shortcut is Meta+Shift+D. It's really weird because I don't see this option. I even tried to change my system language to English but nothing shows up in the shortcut settings when I search for "minimize" or "all". I searched it manually and it's not there either.
