KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.99.0
Qt Version: 5.15.6

Pop!_OS has a builtin search function that prioritizes open windows over other things. For example, if I have a firefox window open and I search for "firefox" the first items on the list will be the firefox windows I have open. I would really like krunner/plasma search to function like, or have the option to have it function like that.

KRunner does that too--or at least it's supposed to. It works for me; if I have Firefox open and I search for "firefox", the first entry is for Firefox's open window.

Do you not see the "Windows" entries at all, or are they too far down in the list?

I see the problem now. When I type "firefox" into krunner the "windows" category is below the "applications". When I type "mozilla" into krunner the "windows" category is first. It seems to work fine for other applications though.

However, this is not always the case when searching using Kickoff. If I type in "mozilla" into Kickoff's search my open windows for firefox shows. For some applications I can type the title of an open window and it will show up first in the list, but not always. For example, Qalculate! will never show the the open window first, it will it krunner but not in kickoff.

So maybe this is just a problem with kickoff then?
I don't see a category for Kickoff so leave it as a krunner bug for now.

Sorry for the confusion, I hope this information helps.
