The xdg-desktop-portel-kde crash is bug 458865 and completely unrelated to the freezes. Could you then please close this bug? Just wanted to add that the desktop freezes seem to strongly correlate with xdg-desktop-portel-kde crashes. Just observed this another time. SUMMARY Desktop sometimes freezes since upgrade to KDE 5.26 on Neon (Wayland) STEPS TO REPRODUCE Not sure. Seems to happen when I'm away for longer from notebook and display turned off (notebook stays on). After logging back in desktop is frozen, have to reboot. OBSERVED RESULT Desktop frozen. EXPECTED RESULT Desktop works normal.
