SUMMARY

I have a dual monitor setup using an xorg.conf that has never been a problem, but after an update, my primary monitor does not work, and KDE ignores my /etc/X11/xorg.conf and everything in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/. The primary monitor is listed as "Disabled" under System Settings > Hardware > Display and Monitor > Display Configuration and, after login, only shows a black screen for about half a second before going to sleep, while the secondary monitor becomes the only working monitor. Enabling the monitor and hitting "Apply" just makes it show a black screen briefly again before going back to sleep. The same happens when using the nvidia-settings GUI to try to do the same thing, or running xrandr. If I only have one monitor plugged in, then either works fine

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable KScreen 2 under System Settings > Workspace > Startup and Shutdown > Background Services

OBSERVED RESULT

Only my secondary monitor works, while the primary one becomes "Disabled", only shows a black screen, and goes to sleep a second or two after login.

EXPECTED RESULT

Dual monitor setup functioning normally with both screens working and aligned properly.

I also have this issue In my case, I am on KDE Neon User Edition 5.26 with kernel 5.15.0-50-generic. This started happening since upgrading from 5.25 to 5.26, and every time I start my computer and log in I have to enable one of my 3 monitors. Manually editing the Xorg config does not fix this.

If I need to provide any logs or anything please let me know since I know that this is a fairly vague issue.
