SUMMARY
I want to bind the two side buttons on my mouse (buttons 8 & 9 as it shows up in xev) and nothing happens when I press the buttons when prompted.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. System Settings -> Input Devices -> Mouse -> Re-bind additional mouse buttons
2. Press Add Binding
3. Press mouse side buttons.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens, it doesn't detect me pressing those side buttons

EXPECTED RESULT
It detects the button that I pressed and allows me to rebind it.

Same issue here, the mouse button press is not detected in the configuration interface.

It worked without issue on the 5.26 beta a few weeks ago (same hardware).
