The Control key does not work in konsole under IRIX for KDE 3.0.2. Is there something special I need to do to enable it or add support for it?

Is this still happening, possibly with newer version? :)

I hope to help get bugs that have been left uncommented looked at.

Really old version of KDE.  Try a newer version and reopen if you still can't use the Ctrl key.

Googling might be best...
