STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Right-click on an attached image/file > save
2. Navigate to ~/Desktop and save it
3. Do it again for another one

OBSERVED RESULT
The Save dialog starts in ~/Downloads rather than remembering that the last time you saved something, you used ~/Desktop.

The Save dialog starts in ~/Desktop, the last place I used it to navigate to

Yeah, most apps capable of saving or opening files remember the last-used Save and Open directories. In cases where they don't, users tend to complain and file bug reports... such as this one. :)
