no, i don't have a backtrace, because it works easy not..
i have make a Video over Virtualbox:

***STEPS TO REPRODUCE***
1. Open Systemsettings5
2. go to Icon Theme Configuration
3. download an Icontheme from OpenDesktop/Pling
4. Select an Icon theme and download.. and pusch the Button "Use"
video in Virtualbox:

***OBSERVED RESULT***
Try to use, but the Icontheme is not overtaked..

Open Systemsettings5 and klick over "Info KDE"
No information about the Version, framework and so on..

***EXPECTED RESULT***
Overtake the Icon theme to System and 
change it on the Fly..

Description:
2022.10.13-21-37 : Have add the index.theme for the more new Plasma compatibility, but i have leave the old index.desktop for have downward compatibility
index.desktop and index.theme is now inside.. both !

hmm.. i hate changed.. but it keep the brain fresh..

oky, issue done now so far..

if you use Plasma, search easy "blacky" at the themes..
