It would often be nice to share the tags you create with other users. Unfortunately digiKam does not support export the tags to a text file and reading it from a text file.
Sharing and expanding tags would be very easy in a multi-user environment, but using different databases.
Example:
Open tag manager --> Sync Export --> Export tags in text file
Open tag manager --> Sync Export --> Import tags from text file

Possibly:
(Combing of existing and imported labels)
Open tag manager --> Sync Export --> Add new tags from text file
