Thank you for the bug report! Unfortunately the backtrace is incomplete and missing debug symbols for the following lines that we need to figure out exactly what's going wrong: #21 0x00007f1f214d3fdc in ?? () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libKF5PlasmaQuick.so.5 #22 0x00007f1f214d490d in PlasmaQuick::Dialog::setFramelessFlags(QFlags<Qt::WindowType>) () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libKF5PlasmaQuick.so.5 #23 0x00007f1f214d7b9f in ?? () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libKF5PlasmaQuick.so.5 Could you please install debug symbols for plasma-framework, reproduce the crash, and attach a new symbolicated backtrace? See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Thanks again! (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > Thank you for the bug report! See > https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/ > How_to_create_useful_crash_reports > > Thanks again! Thanks for the response! I installed whatever debug symbols the crash handler said to, but I guess it didn't say to install that one. So, I installed, just now, the "plasma-framework-dbgsym" package. Next time I have an update, I'll install from Discover and not the terminal. Or maybe I can downgrade Chrome and reinstall the update. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Please provide the requested information as soon as possible and set the bug status as REPORTED. Due to regular bug tracker maintenance, if the bug is still in NEEDSINFO status with no change in 30 days the bug will be closed as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME due to lack of needed information. For more information about our bug triaging procedures please read the wiki located here: https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Bug_triaging If you have already provided the requested information, please mark the bug as REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to be confirmed. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! I cannot reproduce the bug. Google Chrome had a couple of updates that I did through Discover, and upon reboot there was no crash. Also, other updates I've done through Discover have also not had any further crashes. So, perhaps this bug has been fixed. Cool, thanks! |
