STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open to Albums treeview and select Thumbnails
2. Hover over any album or image.
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
Popup with titles only, no details

EXPECTED RESULT
Expected to see details - dates description, etc.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Possibly font color set to background color.  There seems to be room in the popup for the expected text, just cannot see it.

Go to the digiKam setup under Tool Tips and activate the corresponding options you need in the popup. Everything is there, date, description, photo information, etc.

Which color scheme do you use? It should all be easy to read.

Turns out that it is the default Windows theme that is the problem.  Once I changed to a Fusion theme, the text became visible.

Now that the text is visible, I am seeing that the popup box is getting truncated in the Album Tree window.  It shows just enough to see the first line of the Caption text.  

Works great in the Thumbnails view.

I don't see any problem in the album popup, the album description is multi-line and expands downwards. Even a long description is perfectly legible. I don't think it's any different on Windows, but I'll test it later.

This problem still reproducible with the new digiKam 8.2.0 pre-release Windows
installer available at usual place:

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

This new bundle is based on last Qt framework 5.15.11 and KDE framework 5.110.

Problem not reproducible with current pre-release 8.2.0 build under Windows with VCPKG+MSVC toolchain:
