Description sk.griffinix 2022-09-30 20:11:10 UTC
Currently, the page to configure gnome/gtk application style shows a single lone drop down menu to choose the application styles, a preview button on its side, and two buttons on bottom right for downloading new styles and installing from file, the rest being empty space.
The page is actually very similar to Application style page for KDE, save for the difference that previews are shown for KDE application styles, while a drop down menu is shown in GTK's.
Showing previews instead of the drop down menu will have 3 benefits:
1. Make it more visually appealing by reducing the empty space that houses just 4 elements (menu and 3 buttons)
2. Improve user experience by giving more visual information about the GTK application style, which otherwise requires to select the theme from drop down menu and then clicking preview.
3. Attain consistency with other pages in look and feel section, all of which show previews (Application style, plasma theme, icon theme, cursor theme, colour etc)
