The screenshot shows an example, I clicked on 1 under the mine and 2 opened and the cell next to 2 also became invisible.

of the 8 green neighbors, 2 are mines, so the count should be 2, right?

There's only 1 neighbor that is a mine, the mine that has an X over the mine isn't you made a mistake there. I think I misunderstood the X over the mine, which I guess means there wasn't a mine there, so in my screenshot I did click on a mine, but the original screenshot by Anchar does show a miscount, there's a 2, when it should be a 1 |
