SUMMARY

Screens can be positioned far apart in kscreens, leaving a physical gap between them. In contrast to letting them overlap, I really do not see any real use-case here, but on the contrary, it introduces bugs such as #449140.

Therefore it'd be convenient if kscreen made sure, that screens are always connected somewhere at their edges at least.

Indeed, we want to prevent this. https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kscreen/-/merge_requests/138 will prevent you from saving when it's in an invalid state like this. It could also go even further and prevent even moving them apart from each other in the first place.
