Patch above fixes the issue. See also this commit: https://invent.kde.org/pim/kmail/-/commit/0496b1bd94ec2c7c42c1152b5776f2b87a8431a0. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Kmail > Settings > configure > appearance > message list OBSERVED RESULT Random text shown on the message list settings page.
