In the windows version, when I am on a slide that contains a multimedia file, the file does not start, as it does in the Linux version.

Ingo would you please try to figure out if Phonon has support for Windows nowadays? If not i guess we would just have to start using QtMultimedia?

okular: Add the phonon-vlc backend

Hopefully, this will make it possible to play multimedia files embedded
in PDFs on Windows.
Disabled for macOS (as in kstars) and for Android.

works for you.
