Do both screens have the same resolution and DPI? Or do they differ? Did this work in the past in the Wayland session and then stop working? Or has it already been this way or this is the first time you tried it? Does this work as expected in the X11 session? Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Please provide the requested information as soon as possible and set the bug status as REPORTED. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Yes, both screens have the same resolution and DPI. This is the first time I try a wayland setup, and under X11 it just works as expected. I have tried to drag the panel from plasma's "Manage Panels and Desktops" and sometimes it works. On next boot or if I close/re-open one monitor, Plasma will misbehave again by either disappear and re-appear but staying over windows (spacing issue) or just disappear completely. Thanks for the info. I have the same problem: one of the display does not have the panel. But in my case, I suspect the problem to come from the fact that the two screens have different aspect ratio. So the internal screen of the laptop is truncated. I would rather expect to have black borders left and right of the internal screen. I'm not able to reproduce this issue in Plasma 5.27, which has a *ton* of multi-monitor improvements to fix issues such as this one. Felix, can you please upgrade to 5.27.4 or later and try again? Thanks! Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Please provide the requested information as soon as possible and set the bug status as REPORTED. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Thanks. As of 5.27.5 now it has indeed improved a lot. I can still reproduce a misplacement issue with the following steps: - Disconnect the laptop from external display - Put laptop into sleep (suspend to ram) - Connect the external display while laptop is sleeping - Wake up laptop The plasma panel is then shown on top of maximized windows (instead of taking place and making maximized windows shrink to a smaller size). After another lid close-open cycle, this would be fixed. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
