Description nfs.sumeet 2022-09-15 06:06:02 UTC
SUMMARY

After a day or so of starting the KDE session on X11, windows will start partially updating as shown in the linked video. Toggling the compositor on and off (ALT + SHIFT + F12) will temporarily fix it, but after a few minutes it will happen to the same window, or another window, or even the panel. Replacing kwin_x11 or plasmashell doesn't fix it.

The video was captured a month ago, I've just been to lazy to post it here. But it still happens as of 5.25.5. I think it started after 5.25. Not sure if suspend is involved as I constantly suspend my system.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Login to a KDE X11 session for a day
2. Windows, and even the plasma status bar will randomly partially update

OBSERVED RESULT
Windows fully update

EXPECTED RESULT
Windows partially update
